happy camper

Man! So much to do, so little time. Time seems to be slipping through my hands -- a minute here, a minute there, and before I know it, another day has passed.

My mind is spinning at 1000 'tpm' (thoughts per minute) and I can't relax, can't concentrate, can't stop running (physically & mentally). It's nuts. Where did last week go? It seems like a dream now..

Friday last week I got picked up from North Bay by Lukasz, Jan, Stasiu, Asia and Irek. It felt good to see some familiar faces again. For a few minutes, my little room almost felt like home. :-)The six of us went to Algonquin for a weekend of camping in the wild. We arrived in the park around 2 pm, paid our camping fees, rented three canoes, and by 4 pm we were busy paddling eastward towards North Tea Lake. By the time we arrived on the lake it was starting to get dark so we had no choice but to take the first available campsite. It wasn't the prettiest of campsites (too dark and wet), but we took it anyways. There was no time to look for a better one. We rushed to set up our tents, hang-up our food (finding a suitable tree was a challenge for the guys :-) and then enjoyed a cozy campfire complete with cooked potatoes and grilled sausages (yum!) :-) The next morning we got in to our canoes again and paddled away in search of a better campsite. And we found one -- on a gorgeous little island in the middle of the lake. No bears could find us there, hehe! Moreover, it came with a private beach! We were so happy with it that we stayed there for the remainder of the weekend. Camping = good people, good spirits and good fun! :-)

P.S. My friend Irek took the photo above. I think it's just amazing.. The sunsets were breathtaking. And by the way, that's me in the middle!! :-)
